Silver, Jewellery and Watches Catalogue
Silver, Jewellery and Watches Flip Catalogue
Our Silver, Jewellery and Watches sale takes place on 13 August.
Roger Mead, our Head of Department has catalogued 150 lots of silver, more than 30 lots of watches and 200 lots of jewellery as well as continuing to deal with the lower value items offered in the weekly House & Gardens sales.
The Silver sale commences with a Charles 1st trefid spoon and ends with a pair of Elizabeth II candelabra. Within those 150 lots we have a wide selection of Russian, Chinese, Japanese, novelty and domestic silverware. For me the stand-out item would be lot 117 a stunning example of an American sterling cocktail shaker. This apparently unique model takes Norse decorative themes and is named ‘Capronia’. The four and a half pint capacity promises Negroni’s all-round.

In Watches we have a selection from old gold pocket to near contemporary Rolex. Most unusual is lot 183 the Cartier lady’s drivers’ watch. Specially designed to be read when one’s hand is upon the wheel. This is an extremely rare model.

Lastly the Jewellery, I’d hope, has something for everyone, from antique to modern, classic diamond to designer. Mostly for the ladies but not to exclude the gentlemen lot 381 stands out. A pair of Longmire heavy white gold and sapphire cufflinks – great fun and almost certainly a good investment.
