This is the most diverse of all specialist sections within our fine art and antique auctions. Gorringe’s miscellaneous sections encompasses a plethora of objects and curios from all over the world, that history has to offer us, but which do not nestle easily within other conventional categories.
Such subjects include ivories, tribal art, treen, sports memorabilia, photography, juke boxes, garden furniture and Tunbridgeware.
Recently, this department has handled a variety specialist collections and rare individual pieces, including 17th Century European treen, a wonderful collection of 19th Century Valentines and an exceptionally rare 19th Century ivory membership token from the Whittington Club, London.
With such a broad selection of interesting pieces, it is little wonder that these sales are always vibrant, fun and a favoured stomping ground for buyers and connoisseurs.
